Nashville-based guitarist, songwriter, and singer, Meg Williams, performs across the country with her full band, as a solo/duo act, and as a side-woman for other artists. With over 20+ years experience on the guitar, Meg’s guitar playing and solos have captured the attention of audiences across the US, leaving her with an ever growing fanbase.

 

Notable performances & awards:

Meg has a weekly residency at Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie Bar, in downtown Nashville for 3+ years now. She won the 2024 Josie Music Award for Female Guitarist of the Year at the Grand Ole Opry House stage. She recently performed at festivals including: the 2025 Blues on Reid (FL), Winter Blues Experience VI (OH), 2025 International Blues Challenge (TN), 2024 Rochester Lilac Festival (NY), 2024 Clearwater Sea-Blues Festival (FL), between acts at the 2024 North Atlantic Blues Festival (ME), 2023 Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry with Travis Bowlin, the 2023 Huntsville Cigar Box Guitar Festival (AL), 2023 Gloucester Blues Festival (MA), 2022 Winter Blues Experience III (Cincinnati, OH), the Muscle Shoals Songwriter Festival (AL), the Cincinnati Guitar Festival (OH), and the 2021 Camping with the Blues Festival (Brooksville, FL). She has also performed at the official Ryman Auditorium Outdoor PNC Stage pre-show performance for the Jason Isbell Show (Nashville, TN), and Concerts at Point of the Bluff (NY), as direct support for the Marshall Tucker Band (2024) and America (2021). Meg Williams & Travis Bowlin competed in the 2025 International Blues Challenge, in the solo/duo category, representing Nashville and making it to the semi-finals.

Meg was selected as the House Band Director and house guitarist for the Women in Blues Showcase for 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2025 at Alfred's on Beale, during the IBCs. She competed in the International Blues Challenge representing the Kentucky Blues Society (2019). She recorded her 2019 full length album, ‘Take Me As I Am: The Muscle Shoals Sessions,’ at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals (Nola Blue Records). Meg’s album has since been played on Sirius XM’s Bluesville and radio stations world-wide.

Meg independently released her latest full length album, recorded in Nashville, TN, titled 'Live and Learn' in 2021. The single 'Live and Learn' from the new album was selected as a semi-finalist for the International Songwriting Competition (2021 ISC). The album 'Live and Learn' earned a Bronze Global Music Award (Americana Album), and was selected as a finalist (Album of the Year) for the International Singer Songwriter Association awards. Her single ‘Blowin’ Smoke’ was the winner of the Southern Rock/Country Rock song of the year with the Josie Music Awards 2023. Meg's upcoming single, ‘Step it Up’, recorded at Historic RCA Studio C, was a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition (Blues Category).

Meg has also performed at the 2019 Tall City Blues Fest (Midland, TX), the 2019 Robert Johnson Sessions (San Antonio, TX), main-stage at 2018 Venice Blues Festival (Venice, FL), the 2019 Island Hopper Songwriter Festival (Fort Myers, FL), and the highly selective Nashville Guitar Community Showcase (TN).
